Change for the Better: Join Me Online in Free 30 Day Challenges

This is it! This is the year you’re going to focus on your true health and wellness. 2014 will be your year of self-care and I’m going to help you get there!

It’s very fitting that this week is Healthy Weight Week and today is “Change the Conversation” day because I am dedicated to changing the conversation about health. Health is not about your clothing size, it’s about your lifestyle. I’m on a MISSION to make self-care the latest “trend” and I’m very excited to provide a supportive space on social media with my free 30 Day Self-Care Challenges!

Why Bother?

Truth is, I’m a “recovered” dieter. I started at 9 years old. (sad, I know) I have tried just about everything and none of it worked.   It has been a long journey to get to this point in my life where I am truly happy with my habits. Now that I’m a mom to a baby girl, I challenge myself to be the role model she deserves.  I’m even more inspired to help people live healthy and take good care of themselves without feeling inadequate about the way they look and without getting desperate to diet.

I used to host regular #MeFirst chats but as my business and family grew I needed to be more present in other areas of my life and had to put the #MeFirst chats on the back burner. Over time, I’ve realized that I miss the sense of community, encouragement and support that those chats brought to me. There are lots of chats on social media, but few are focused on wellness and self-care. My goal is to create a supportive and non-judgmental community that is committed to restoring health through 30-Day Self-Care Challenges .

The 30 Day Journey

Dieting shouldn’t exist, but a healthy life style should. We know that changing habits requires having goals, commitment, time, and support. It’s about being consistent and most importantly tuning into your own signals and trusting those signals. Throughout these various 30-Day Self-Care Challenges you will see a positive transformation in your life that will remain with you for the long haul.

Challenge #1: Ditch the Diet Mind    February 1st-28th, 2014

The first challenge will be “Ditch the Diet Mind”. This challenge is going a key pillar in your self-care journey. It’s anything you want to work on that is diet-focused and not self-care focused. Maybe you know you need to weigh yourself less often, or have permission to eat what you crave when you are hungry. Maybe your food rules are taking over your enjoyment of food and it’s time to ditch them. Maybe you want to work on actually making time to cook and eat healthy. You decide what you are working on and I’ll help you through it! Remember, this is a process with its own path and will take time.
