What are you grateful for?

As I round up this year, I can think of so many opportunities, people and experiences to be grateful for. Instead of holiday cards, I send personal notes to individuals who have shared part of their story, life and journey with me as a symbol of my gratitude. What are you grateful for?

Gratitude has sustained me through both the good and bad times. The highlight of 2011 has been finishing my first Triathlon after learning to swim this year. I learned so much about myself and the importance of facing fear straight on. Who would have thought that while I was working on my first Triathlon that I would have lead 11 women to successfully complete their first Iron Girl Triathlon on the Iron Moms Tri team. You never know where life will take you so you must be open to all that awaits you. At the same time I had the opportunity to pilot my self-care program with two national restaurant chains with rave reviews. My passion and mission is to teach essential strategies to help moms practice better self-care during the journey. We all know that when moms are happy their families are better off.

In addition, my articles, tips and content have been featured on Yahoo, Essence Magazine, CNN, Channel 2 News, Huffington Post and over 25 other news sources for women around the world. This year, has provided me with the opportunities to share the strategies that have helped me with my family of three children and husband of 16 years. My commitment is to only share tools that I have personally tested to make the motherhood journey easier. You have responded with astounding resonance that my information connects with you because it is truth.

Equally, I reflect on my beautiful family and how health and wellness has permeated our family culture and allowed us all to make powerful shifts. My dominate intention for 2011 was to have a healthier family and I’ve achieved that. At the end of the day, I get to do work that fulfills me and that affirms my purpose to help mothers find their voice, set important healthy boundaries and to learn the powerful healing properties of understanding yourself.

Oprah hasn’t called me yet, but I know that she will soon. This year, Time for Mom-Me made a dent in the world and I am grateful to have contributed my part to this significant effort.

Live fully,

The Mom Strategist
