Earn Income from HomeBy Holly Reisem Hanna

Back when I started my work at home search in 2006, the pickings for jobs that you could do from home were slim. It seemed like the majority of work that individuals could do was call center related, freelance work, or a scam. But as technology has evolved, the ways you can earn income from home are becoming endless.

If you have a computer, Internet connection, and know your way around the web, here are some easy ways you can earn income from home.

Social Spark is an online platform that connects bloggers, publishers, and website owners with major brands. Simply set up your account, set your price per post, pick which advertisers you’d like to work with, write your post, and then get paid via PayPal. Current companies working with Social Spark are HP, Overstock, AT&T, Microsoft, Beaches Resorts, Hilton, Kraft, and many more. Typical pay ranges from $25 – $200 per post, and you have total control over who you work with.

CashCrate is an online platform where you can start earning money by completing offers, taking surveys, watching videos, and shopping online using their site. I’ve played around on the site a little bit and you’ll want to make sure that you read all of the fine print on each and every offer. Many offers require an email address, which means you’ll receive offers from them and other marketers. Tasks pay out anywhere from a few cents to $30 or more, and you’ll receive a $1 for signing up for a new account. Payments are made via check and PayPal.

ChaCha is an online platform where individuals get paid for sharing funny and informative articles, quizzes, and other highly engaging content. Simply share or post the content you like the best on your blog, Twitter account, or share it with your friends on social profiles. As people click on the content, you make money. You can also earn referrals fees for others that you refer to the affiliate program.

SwagBucks is an online platform where you can earn digital dollars called Swag Bucks, which can be redeemed for gift cards and coupons. You can easily earn Swag Buck by watching videos, playing games, answering questions, shopping online, and even surfing the web using their search bar. With each purchase you make from a Plink associated store, you’ll earn Plink points which can be traded in for gift cards from major retailers like REI, Lowes, CVS, Bath & Body Works and Sephora. Tell your friends about Plink and earn 100 Plink points for each one that signs up. This is a great way to get free gift cards for places that you’re already shopping at. Also worth mentioning that they are a member of the Better Business Bureau.

Expertory is an online platform where experts can sell their knowledge through live online video chat. Often referred to as “The eBay of Learning”, Expertory gives professionals a platform to market, schedule, accept payments, and instruct individuals all in one place. Totally free to join, you decide when and where to teach, and how much you’ll charge. Expertory doesn’t take a cut until you’ve been paid and fees will vary depending on where the referral comes from.

Ebates is another cash back shopping site. Simply sign up for a free account and then when you shop online go through the Ebates site to see if the retailer that you’re shopping with is affiliated. If they are affiliated with Ebates click on the link and start shopping. Most companies offer 3% cash back on your purchases, although I have seen some that offer 6% back and as much as 16% cash back! Want to make even more money? Refer three friends to Ebates and earn $30. Are you a blogger with a large following? Refer 400 individuals to Ebates and make a whooping $7,000! Again worth noting that Ebates is a member of the Better Business Bureau.

Viglink is an easy way for bloggers and online publishers to automate their affiliate marketing. Simply sign up and paste the dedicated code that they give you on to your website. People sell everything from writing services, design services, voice overs, to making phone calls and videos. Once you make a sale, Fiverr will keep of fee of $1 and payments will be made via PayPal. Now, when I first heard of Fiverr I thought it was totally nuts, but it turns out that there are some individuals who are raking it in over there. In fact, Connie Brentford is one of those individuals – she even wrote an e-book about it, How I Made An Extra $1,200 Per Month At Home Using One Free Website. So if this sounds interesting to you, check out Connie’s e-book and get started on Fiverr.

Needle is a platform that connects brands with avid fans for brand ambassadorships, or what they like to call Needlers. How it works is instead of companies hiring call centers to handle customer queries, they hire individuals who know and love their brands. Then when a customer has a question they are connected with a brand ambassador who knows the brand inside and out, and is able to answer questions and make suggestions because of their own personal experience with the brand. Current companies that Needle works with are Overstock.com, Norwegian Cruise Line, Coach, Norton and Alienware. To become a Needler connect your account with Facebook, build your profile, and complete an application.
