Interview with Jeannie Lorin – President and CEO of Beauty Society

Interview with Jeannie LorinTell us a little bit about yourself and your entrepreneurial journey.

I am a busy mom, sister, daughter, friend and business owner… A job and purpose that is clearly cut out for women! I feel strongly that strong minded women can do it all, as long as they love what they do and can feel proud of the life they have, and the nature of the business that they own.  Beauty Society is a company with a conscience that women feel good about, making the journey more rewarding.

What did you do before launching your own business?

Before Beauty Society, professionally I was always in sales, the seven years before I launched the company, I was a proud and happy stay-at-home mom.

Beauty Society offers a home-based business opportunity, tell us about this.

Women need flexibility, not only for themselves but for their families. We have created an opportunity for women to own their own beauty business that encompasses everything that todays consumer cares about, price, effectiveness, environmental issues and health concerns. The relationship between the company, its sales reps and our customer base has developed into a long term residual income for our reps.

How many hours do you work a week and how much is spent is your home office?

As the company’s founder and CEO, I work long hours almost exclusively in the corporate offices. This is a labor of love for me, because along with our wonderful staff, we have created a dream come true opportunity for women to stay at home, have plenty of free time and make new friends while building their very own Beauty Empires!

How would you rate your success, both financially and overall satisfaction?

I rate my success 100% by the success of others. For me the most priceless part of my job has been the thousands of other lives we have made better and the infinite opportunities that the future will bring to every women that become part of Beauty Society. Personally will not be satisfied until Beauty Society becomes the largest beauty company in the world.

What has been your biggest business struggle as an entrepreneur?

The biggest struggle has been proving that we are different, because so many companies care more about the bottom line and growth rather that doing the right thing. We are and always will be a company with a conscience, caring about the product we manufacture, the environment with our refill program, staying paraben free, sulfate free, cruelty free, vegan friendly, gluten free made in the USA, a 12 month guarantee and zero inventory required for our reps.

What advice would you give to a new consultant starting out?

Have fun, but treat it like a business. My favorite saying is “Your mouth is your office, keep it open”

How do you manage all of your personal and business activities?

Luckily for me my work is my love and passion so I am blessed that so many of my personal activities are business related!
