The Best Twitter Apps for Your Business

The 4 Best Twitter Apps for Your BusinessBy Danielle Buffardi

Using social media is a must when you want to build a following, market your brand, and find potential clients. And Twitter, with its short (140 characters or less) burst of dialogue, fits the bill for quick, no-hassle, and right to the point marketing. Blast a tweet to your followers to let them know of your current sale, or your newest e-book you’ve just finished, even tweet about your new puppy. Twitter is one of the most useful social media outlets today. However, managing your online presence through Twitter can be tricky if you don’t know what you’re doing.

Here I’ve compiled four of the best Twitter apps to help entrepreneurs manage their Twitter activity, followers, and more.

1. Hootsuite

By far one of the best social media applications out there. You can handle all of your social media branding in one spot – send off the same update to all of your social media sites instantaneously or automatically RT anyone who mentions you on Twitter. Hootsuite even allows the user to schedule their Tweets according to your preferences. Hootsuite also comes with a fantastic, and very useful I might add, analytical tool that updates you of your click-thru performance weekly. You can even add the ‘Hootlet’ to your task bar for super easy social media updating. As far as I’m concerned, if you don’t use Hootsuite then you’re missing out on ways to get your product and your brand out there.

2. SocialOomph

If you are looking to be more productive in your dealings with Twitter then SocialOomph is for you. This app allows the user to automatically welcome new followers, be notified when you or your business is mentioned, even stop following those that stop following you. When used in unison with Hootsuite, SocialOomph can help to make your social media dealings pleasant and easy.

3. ManageFlitter

If you tend to follow a lot of people, then this is the Twitter app for you. ManageFilter will help recommend those that you should be following and help to eliminate those that you should move on from. If you’re looking to centralize your Twitter following to like-minded individuals in your product’s niche market, then ManageFlitter is your best bet.

4. Tweepi

Tweepi helps you manage your Twitter followers and update statuses automatically. You can remove followers that no longer are posting, reply to tweets and messages, and even use a copy/paste feature for easier tweeting. Tweepi also has an excellent feature that helps fight spam users that happen to follow you – it’s called ‘force unfollow’ and it will help you weed through the undesirables.
